The community's own market
SPORE desk
SPORE backed by ETH. The desk holds a vault of ETH, and every SPORE in the community is worth its share of it. Buy SPORE from the desk, sell it back for ETH, and watch the share price: it can only go up, because the only things that move it are ETH coming in and SPORE being burned. Twenty percent of every ETH that arrives goes to the treasury at the door. After that nothing leaves except to a holder selling back. Every figure on this page is read live from the contract.
The share price
How it works
The vault
- The desk holds ETH in a vault. One SPORE is worth its share of it: the vault's ETH divided by the community's SPORE. Nobody sets that price. It's arithmetic, read from the chain.
- ETH comes in from NFT sales in the store, from SPORE buys here, and from gifts. 20% of every ETH that arrives goes to the treasury, fixed in the contract. The rest is locked in the vault. There is no withdraw function. None.
- ETH leaves one way only: a holder sells SPORE back at the share price less a small spread, and that SPORE is burned.
- The desk sells SPORE from its own stock at the share price plus a premium. That premium is why a buy lifts everyone's share instead of diluting it.
Why the price only goes up
- An NFT sells: ETH arrives, the SPORE count doesn't change. Up.
- Someone buys SPORE: ETH arrives with the premium, SPORE comes out of stock, not out of anyone's share. Up.
- Someone sells SPORE: they take their share less the spread, and their SPORE burns. Everyone else's share grows. Up.
- The burn pot: for every SPORE sold back, the desk burns one more from a pot the treasury filled. Up again.
- There is no event that moves it down. If you hold, every sale, every buy and every NFT sold makes your SPORE worth more ETH than it was.
Who can trade
- The community: wallets on the holders' list, taken from a snapshot of real SPORE holders, and any wallet holding an M4Rabbit or a Millionaire Rabbit. The NFT check is live, so an M4 opens the desk the moment it lands in a wallet.
- A wallet can sell back what it held at the snapshot, what it bought here, and what it was granted as a reward. SPORE from anywhere else can't be sold here. That's what keeps pools and side doors out.
- The vault pays out at most a set share of itself per day, all sellers together, and no wallet more than a share of that. Nobody can empty it in an afternoon.
- Buying opens to everyone when the treasury flips one switch. Selling always needs credit.
What the team can't do
- The team's wallets can't trade, can't hold credit, can't be listed, and can't be given anything by the desk. That's in the contract, not a promise.
- The treasury can't take ETH out. It gets its 20% at the door and nothing after. It can't take SPORE out of the stock, burn or rewards pots either: they only fill.
- The treasury can set the terms within hard limits, pause trading, move the burn floor, name a rewarder, list NFTs for SPORE, and feed the pots. Every one of those is a transaction anyone can see below.
- Once the holders' list is sealed, nobody can hand out credit by hand. Rewards come from the rewards pot, bounded by what's in it. A reward adds SPORE to the community without adding ETH, so it spreads the vault a little thinner: the one event that isn't "up", and it's capped by the pot.
- Team wallets go on an exclusion list that only ever grows. A wallet on it can never trade, hold credit, or receive anything from the desk, M4 or not.
Buy or sell
NFTs for SPORE
Community only. Priced in SPORE at the ETH price divided by the share price, so paying with SPORE costs the same slice of the vault as paying ETH would, and the SPORE burns.
